Job summary

Pave Recruit Ltd, on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Setting Out Engineer to support key infrastructure projects across London and the UK. You will ensure works align with design and specification, conduct site surveys, and maintain quality records while coordinating with the Project Manager, Supervisors, and Gangers on site.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer in civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of surveying, setting out, and construction quality control.
• Proficiency with Leica total stations, GNSS receivers, and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveying and setting out on-site using Leica TS16 and GNSS.
• Perform as-built surveys and maintain site survey control networks.
• Oversee inspections and testing (air, compaction, concrete) to ensure quality standards.
• Identify and report defects and capture progress photos for SharePoint.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and site teams to plan and execute works.
