Job summary

Morson Vital in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support two major foundation projects at Ilford Depot. Based on site, you will set out for foundations and civils, support piling, and ensure works meet specifications.

The role involves working with site teams, subcontractors and project managers, conducting quality checks, taking measurements, and recording as-built data, with hours starting at 8 per day and potentially extending to 10 once works accelerate.

Qualifications

• Proven setting-out or site-engineering experience on major civils projects.
• Strong background in complex reinforced concrete works.
• Experience with piling and shuttering/formwork is desirable.

Hours: Monday to Friday, initially 8 hour days then site will likely operate to 10 hours once the work properly starts
Day Rate: Inside IR35 (umbrella)
Overview

Key Responsibilities
* Setting out for major foundation and civils works.
* Supporting piling operations and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
* Setting out and monitoring reinforced concrete structures.
* Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and project managers.
* Quality checks, measurements and as-built records.
* Ensuring works are completed safely and in line with project requirements.
Essential Experience
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer.
* Strong background in complex reinforced concrete works.
* Experience working on large foundation projects.
Knowledge of:
* Piling
* Shuttering/Formwork
* Concrete pours
* Reinforcement works
* Experience working on major civils, infrastructure or industrial projects.
* Ability to work in busy environments with heavy plant and vehicle movements
