Job summary

Caval is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a warehouse development on a Newport site. The role focuses on setting out and QA duties, plus completing foundations and deep drainage works on a long-term project with on-site parking and an immediate start.

You will work on setting out foundations, drainage, manholes, kerbing and retaining walls, coordinating with the on-site team to meet programme and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Engineer on warehouse/development projects.
• Strong setting out and QA capabilities with attention to quality.
• Experience with foundations, drainage to 3–5 m, manholes and kerbing.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently on site.

Responsibilities

• Set out remaining foundations to programme.
• Perform QA checks and maintain quality standards.
• Set out and oversee drainage works (3–5 m deep).
• Set out manholes and kerbing works.
• Set out retaining walls.
• Liaise with site team to ensure safety and schedule compliance.

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a warehouse development project in Newport. The role will involve setting out and QA duties, completing the remaining foundation works, deep drainage (3-5m), manholes, kerbing, retaining walls, and associated infrastructure works. We're looking for someone who is quick, sharp, and capable of working independently.
