Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in City of London is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join our on-site delivery team on piling and foundations projects.

You will set out, perform QA checks, maintain survey records and coordinate with site teams. Proficiency with Leica TS16, GPS and related surveying software is required; CSCS card and UK driving licence preferred. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within piling, foundations, groundworks, basements, civils or reinforced concrete projects.
• Experience producing accurate as-built surveys and QA documentation.
• CSCS card and full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setting out piling, foundations, ground beams, retaining structures and associated works.
• Carrying out pre-pour inspections and surveys to ensure works are delivered to specification.
• Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records and surveys.
• Conducting formation level surveys and ensuring compliance with design requirements.
• Undertaking QA checks and recording site data.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and coordinating with site teams and subcontractors.
• Maintaining precise survey control across multiple work fronts.
• Liaising with project managers, site managers and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assisting with ITPs, quality documentation and site reporting.

Setting Out Engineer - Piling & Foundations

Our client is a specialist geotechnical and foundation engineering contractor delivering complex piling, foundation, basement, retaining wall and ground engineering solutions across the commercial, residential and infrastructure sectors.

They are looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a growing delivery team on a range of prestigious projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong setting out and QA experience who enjoys working on technically challenging foundation and piling schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out piling, foundations, ground beams, retaining structures and associated works.
• Carrying out pre-pour inspections and surveys to ensure works are delivered to specification.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within piling, foundations, groundworks, basements, civils or reinforced concrete projects.
• Proficient in the use of Leica TS16 Total Stations , GPS equipment and associated surveying software.
• Experience producing as-built surveys, pre-pour surveys and QA documentation.
• Strong understanding of setting out techniques, survey control and engineering drawings.
• Confident working independently and managing your own workload on site.
• CSCS card and full UK driving licence preferred.
