Job summary

Bridgend, South Wales is recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project. This long-term freelance role offers £300 - £350 per day, depending on experience and whether you can provide your own setting out equipment.

You will carry out setting out duties, establish control points, interpret drawings, produce as-built records and work closely with site management and subcontractors. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil/infrastructure projects.
• Competent with surveying and setting out equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and site docs.
• CSCS card held.

Setting Out Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Bridgend.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term freelance work on a busy site, with competitive day rates available depending on your experience, project background and whether you can provide your own setting out equipment.

The Role

• Carrying out all setting out duties on site.
• Establishing and maintaining control points.
• Ensuring works are delivered to specification and within required tolerances.
• Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records.
• Interpreting technical drawings and site documentation.
• Working closely with site management and subcontractors.
• Supporting quality assurance and resolving engineering issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
• Previous work on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or similar projects.
• Competent in the use of surveying and setting out equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Own setting out equipment advantageous and may command a higher day rate.
