Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd in Porth, South Wales is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project. The role involves carrying out all setting out duties, establishing control points and ensuring works meet specs with tight tolerances.

The position offers a long-term, on-going contract with a competitive day rate (£300–£350) depending on experience and whether you provide your own setting out equipment. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
• Experience on civil/infrastructure/utilities projects.
• Competent with surveying/setting out equipment.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• CSCS card valid.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out duties on site.
• Establish and maintain control points.
• Ensure works meet specifications and tolerances.
• Produce as-built records.
• Interpret drawings and site docs.
• Coordinate with site management and subcontractors.
• Support QA and resolve engineering issues.
