Job summary

CareTech Community Services is seeking a dedicated support worker in Newtonmore to help young people with daily routines, school preparation, meals, and activity planning within a warm, homely home. You will participate in trips and creative projects, providing emotional support and building strong, trusting relationships.

Full-time contract with a paid induction and bonus opportunities is available; prior experience is not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager.
• Experience in education, youth work, childcare, healthcare, social care or learning disabilities is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, getting them ready for school, and meal times.
• Plan activities and join trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
• Build a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
• Provide emotional support and build strong, meaningful relationships.
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
