Job summary

CareTech Group is seeking a dedicated residential childcare worker in Dalry, North Ayrshire. You will support young people with daily routines, provide emotional support, and help create a warm home environment while engaging in planned activities.

We value ASN experience and backgrounds in education, youth work, healthcare, social care, or community services. Full-time with induction and ongoing training, plus a £1000 refer-a-friend bonus, await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient and a great listener focused on outcomes for others.
• Experience with Autism, ASN or early years intervention is needed for this role
• Must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system daily; training provided, experience with Clearcare is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines (getting ready for school, meal prep) and planning activities.
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights, or creative projects.
• Keep essential records and document, monitor, and update records using digital systems
