Job summary

Henley Executive in Bristol is seeking a Transition Manager to own end-user and endpoint transitions, ensuring smooth handovers into BAU and disruption-free change.

You will act as the single point of accountability across delivery, operations and leadership, shaping ITIL-aligned transition plans that keep stakeholders informed, risks controlled, and services ready for go-live, while coordinating with Service Owners, Architects, PMs and Operations for seamless handovers.

Qualifications

• Strong ITIL knowledge across Transition, Operations and Change Enablement.
• Proven track record in end-user/endpoint transitions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience delivering readiness and BAU handovers in enterprise IT.
• Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver transition and business-integration plans.
• Coordinate service owners, architects, PMs and operations for handovers.
• Ensure runbooks, service design packages, SLAs/OLAs and knowledge articles are ready pre go-live.
• Manage ELS and transition into BAU support.
• Integrate new technologies and vendors into the operational ecosystem.
• Support hardware refreshes, endpoint security rollouts and platform migrations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transition Manager to join an established managed services provider in Bristol.

Working within a team of 2 Service Transition Managers, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Service Transition Manager to take ownership of end‑user and endpoint service transitions, driving smooth handovers into BAU and ensuring organisations experience seamless, disruption‑free change.

Acting as the single point of accountability across delivery, operations and business leadership, you’ll shape ITIL‑aligned transition plans that keep stakeholders informed, risks controlled, and services ready for go‑live.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and deliver transition and business‑integration plans.
• Coordinate Service Owners, Architects, PMs and Operations for handover deliverables.
• Ensure runbooks, service design packages, SLAs/OLAs and knowledge articles are complete and approved pre‑go‑live.
• Manage ELS and formal transition into BAU support.
• Integrate new technologies and managed‑service vendors into the operational ecosystem.
• Support hardware refreshes, endpoint security rollouts and collaboration platform migrations.

What You Bring:

• Proven experience managing IT service transitions in End User / Endpoint / Digital Workplace environments
• Strong ITIL knowledge across Service Transition, Service Operation and Change Enablement
• A track record delivering operational readiness, ELS and BAU handovers in enterprise IT
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Strong planning, organisation and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience creating and maintaining project plans and transition artefacts
• A proactive approach to risk management, quality delivery and continuous improvement

Successful applicants can expect a salary of circa £45,000.
