Job summary

Capital One Group, based in Nottingham, is seeking a Service Transition Consultant to ensure new and changed services land in production reliably and with strong operational foundations. You will partner with project teams from design through deployment, focusing on reliability, observability and governance.

The role emphasizes hands-on readiness, collaboration with SRE, Product Engineering and Service Operations, and continual improvement of service transition processes within a flexible hybrid

Qualifications

• Strong influencing and communication skills.
• Degree of skill in context switching and stakeholder knowledge application.
• Experience implementing into a live IT infrastructure environment.
• Excellent at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong Service/Support Readiness track record in a tech service environment.
• Basic knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage, track and prioritise service requirements for new/changed services through completion.
• Consult design phase with regard to supportability, reliability and operational readiness.
• Advise on Service Level Objectives and governance while remaining hands-on with tooling.
• Map dependencies and operational impact of new/changed services.
• Enhance observability and support documentation standards with engineering teams.
• Act as Change Manager for production deployment sign-off.
• Support continual improvement of Service Transition processes.
