Job summary

Jago Consultants in Letchworth Garden City is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles, diagnose issues, and explain repairs to customers. You will work with diagnostics and perform routine tasks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, plus a proactive, customer-focused mindset and a willingness to learn through hands-on training. Monday–Friday 8:00–17:30, Saturdays on rotation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles
• Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment
• Liaise with customers explaining repairs and issues
• Test the functionality of parts and systems
• Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts
• Willingness to learn with hands‑on training
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workshop at all times
• Keep up-to-date with the most recent changes in technology, techniques and in the commercial developments

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm, alternate Saturdays 8am to 12pm
