Job summary

Jago Consultants is seeking a Service Technician with MOT Licence for our main car dealership in Letchworth Garden City. You will perform maintenance and repairs, conduct MOTs, liaise with customers, and ensure paperwork is completed to franchise standards.

Role requires full UK driving licence, current MOT Licence, NVQ Level 2+, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00–17:30 with alternate Saturdays 8:00–12:00, based at our Letchworth site.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Liaise with customers explaining repairs and issues.

• Carry out MOTs and retests, following DVSA framework.
• Complete all required paperwork in line with franchise and company standards.
• Perform basic auto care tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workshop at all times.
• Keep up-to-date with the most recent changes in technology, techniques and in the commercial developments.
