Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialists. The role requires Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 with at least 3 years' experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Based in Thetford, you will work Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30 with occasional Saturday on a rota. Basic salary up to £34,000 with bonus and overtime, potential to earn £38,000+.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years experience
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and maintenance across all makes and models
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, clutches, cam belts, and suspension components
• Utilising the latest specialized diagnostic technology to identify, test, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults
• Executing light-to-major mechanical repairs required for vehicles to pass official DVSA MOT tests

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years experience, for the UKs leading vehicle rental specialists, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Pay / salary: up to£34,000 basic per annum plus bonus and overtime, OTE £38,000+

Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.
