Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is advertising a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists in Thetford. A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a Level 2 Technician/Mechanic with at least 3 years' experience, is required. A well-equipped toolbox and a full UK driving licence are essential.

The role is permanent/full-time with 08:30–17:30 on weekdays and Saturday rota. Basic up to £34,000 plus bonus and overtime, with OTE £38,000+.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years experience.
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and maintenance across all makes and models
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, clutches, cam belts, and suspension components
• Utilising the latest diagnostic technology to identify, test, and resolve faults
• Executing light-to-major mechanical repairs to pass DVSA MOT tests
