Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Worcester for a Level 3 qualified technician, or Level 2 with 3+ years' experience, within a leading UK automotive group.

The role offers a strong basic salary, overtime and bonus potential, with a 45-hour week and full UK work rights. Training in EV/hybrid tech is provided, with extensive career opportunities ahead.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent IMI / City & Guilds qualification).
• Hands-on workshop experience as a mechanic or technician, ideally within a franchised dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and component updates, in line with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across braking, steering, suspension, and basic engine systems.
• Complete thorough Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs) to identify and record any work required.
• Record accurate technical findings and parts requirements clearly on digital job cards.
• Complete standard warranty repairs in line with factory protocols and agreed timeframes.
• Maintain high levels of workshop productivity to meet individual efficiency and first-time fix targets.
