Job summary

Bruntingthorpe-based Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our mechanical workshop. You will perform manufacturer-approved servicing and repairs, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and ensure all warranty and service processes are followed with precision.

The role supports our fast-paced service environment and requires staying up-to-date with manufacturer developments. Ideal candidates have VW/JLR dealership experience, NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, and at

Qualifications

• Experience in a VW or JLR dealership is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 (or manufacturer equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on motor vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Basic knowledge of EVs (training provided).

About The Role

Working in the mechanical workshop, the work will vary from servicing, to rectifying mechanical and electrical faults. As vehicles are continuously developing, the work we undertake is constantly changing, therefore training will be provided to keep up to date on all manufacturer developments.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience of working within a Volkswagen or Jaguar Land Rover dealership is essential for this role

• NVQ Level 3 (or manufacturer equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on motor vehicles

• Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)

• Basic knowledge of EVs (training provided)

• Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Manufacturer or brand-specific training/qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced service environment
