Job summary

Marshall Motor Group’s cinch Chery, OMODA JAECOO Manchester is seeking a skilled Service Technician for a busy 4-ramp workshop. The role is full-time at 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive basic salary (£35,789) and OTE (£47,850) based on time saved and team profit, plus 25 days’ annual leave and a pension scheme.

You will service and maintain vehicles, perform diagnostics and repairs, and complete eVHCs while gaining manufacturer training across Chery, OMODA and JAECOO.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic with warranty and servicing exposure.
• MOT Licence is a plus; full training available.
• Strong teamwork, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• Handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to cambelt changes, with digital write-ups and job cards.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.

In this role:

• You’ll carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• You’ll handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to cambelt changes, supported by digital write-ups and job card completion.
• You’ll conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.

We're looking for:

• Someone with a recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Someone with previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with exposure to both warranty and servicing work.
• Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.
• Someone with a MOT Licence is a plus – full training can be provided if not yet qualified.
• Most importantly, someone eager to learn as this role will test you, but also help you develop and progress within your Mechanic careers with our manufacturer accreditation training.
