Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Service Technician based in Fareham. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a range of makes and models within a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and a valid driving licence, with prior workshop experience preferred. This is a customer-focused, professional environment with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Ideally hold NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience in a main dealer or independent workshop is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify any additional maintenance or repair requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.

The Role:

Here at Silcom Recruitment, we have a great client who is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their established team, based in Fareham.

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy workshop operation, offering servicing, diagnostics and vehicle repairs across a wide range of makes and models. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified technician looking to join a professional and customer-focused working environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Service Technician:

• Driving Licence (required).


• You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.


• Previous experience working within a main dealership or independent workshop environment is desirable.


• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.


• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently.


• Complete vehicle inspections and identify any additional maintenance or repair requirements.


• Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes and models would be advantageous.


• Maintain high standards of workmanship while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.


• A strong passion for the automotive industry, with a professional and customer-focused approach.

The Package:

• Up to £30,000 basic salary.


• Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:30pm - No Weekends!
