Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Up to £47,600 OTE (including £30,000 to £39,000 basic depending on qualifications and experience, plus bonus) plus overachievement bonus!

Hours: 42 hours (08:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays (rota basis) 08:00 - 12:00)

Birmingham Vauxhall and Used Car HUB is recruiting for a Service Technician / MOT Tester to join our workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, performing vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and repairs to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy. Our technicians are key to delivering first-class customer service. We are seeking qualified MOT Testers, whether from dealer groups or independent garages.

• Perform vehicle health checks with advanced technology
• Conduct MOTs following manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Perform additional repairs with customer approval
• Test vehicles on-road to verify repairs
• Complete all relevant paperwork to high standards

The ideal candidate will have mechanic experience, be self-motivated, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to high standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification are required.

Experience with brand-specific work is advantageous but not essential, as brand accreditation training is provided. An MOT licence is essential.

The salary range is £30,000 for Level 3 Qualified Technicians up to £39,000 for Master Technicians, plus an additional £2,000 for EV qualification.
