Responsibilities

  • Support the Directorate Management Team in the efficient day-to-day running of Adult Community Services, ensuring safe and effective use of resources across multiple community clinic sites.
  • Lead, manage and develop administrative and reception teams, providing supervision, recruitment, performance management and coaching. Flexibility is essential due to multi-site working.
  • Identify and drive improvements in patient safety, patient experience and service effectiveness, including maintaining Business Continuity Plans.
  • Uphold high governance standards by monitoring incidents, supporting investigations, ensuring Information Governance compliance, contributing to SOP development and supporting audits. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Directorate Management Team to deliver service improvement plans and support transformation aligned to Trust strategy.
  • Oversee waiting lists, compliance and electronic systems to ensure accurate, timely and high-quality data that supports safe clinical decision-making.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and contribute to organisational objectives.
  • Represent the Directorate at forums, projects and sub-groups, building strong relationships with clinical teams, corporate services and external partners.
  • Communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced, changeable environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Service Support Manager. This pivotal role provides operational leadership and line management for administrative and reception teams across multiple community clinic sites.

Flexibility is essential, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities to ensure safe, efficient and responsive service delivery.

You will build strong working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, support day-to-day operational flow, oversee key electronic systems, and proactively drive service improvement aligned to the Trust Strategy and NHS long term plan.

The role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability and confidence working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

Main duties of the job
