Job summary

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Service Administrator to provide high-quality clerical support across inpatient services. The role involves supporting clinical teams, coordinating with health and social care professionals, and occasional travel between Bradford Royal Infirmary and Lynfield Mount Hospital.

Based in Bradford with core office hours, you will join Hub Teams delivering patient and service user support.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths & English (A-C) or L3, or equivalent administration experience.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Level 2 qualification in relevant field (e.g. Business/admin).
  • ICDL L2 or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, effective admin support to health and social care professionals and service users/patients.
  • Support Inpatient Flow Management team and ALPS service for 12 months.
  • Travel between Bradford Royal Infirmary and Lynfield Mount Hospital as required.

Service Administrator

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust's Hub Teams are multi-disciplined teams of administrators dealing with enquiries from patients, service users, carers and clinicians.

The service is delivered in an Inpatient Hospital Environment providing admin support to Clinical Teams Monday - Friday, operating core office hours.

The Administrator role will provide efficient, effective and high quality clerical support to a range of identified professionals within clinical inpatient services.

The role requires someone who is able to travel between Bradford Royal infirmary and Lynfield Mount Hospital

Main duties of the job

The Administrator role will provide an efficient, effective, and high-quality administrative support to health and social care professionals and service users/patients within a community based or district wide team.

Service Administrator roles support Medics and/or Clinical Teams, these roles will be supporting the Inpatient Flow Management team and ALPS service for 12 months.

Qualifications
  • Maths & English GCSE grades 4-9 (A-C) or L3. Or experience within an administration / customer service role.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant field or equivalent level of Experience. (e.g. GCSE A-C or NVQ Level 3)
  • Level 2 qualification in relevant field i.e Business / admin
  • ICDL L2 or equivalent experience
Experience
  • oCustomer service experience (e.g. face to face, answering calls or correspondence)
  • oAdministration/office experience (i.e. diary management, electronic filing systems, meeting preparation, note taking, inputting data, collating and presenting information)
  • oProviding administrative or secretarial support.
  • oExperience of organising competing demands and workloads.
  • oExperience of setting up and maintaining administrative systems and processes.
  • oExperience of working autonomously and proactively
  • oAdministration/office experience supporting senior management/clinical functions within the public sector.
  • oExperience of audio typing/digital dictation (e.g. BigHand)
  • oPrevious NHS experience
  • oWorkflow management experience (e.g. job allocation)
