Service Sales Consultant (Instrumentation / Process Automation)
South - Birmingham, London
From £50k + Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
Role & Responsibilities for a Service Sales Consultant:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers within the assigned region.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their operational challenges and identifying opportunities for our service offerings.
- Promoting and selling Endress+Hauser's portfolio of services (e.g., calibration, maintenance, training, technical support).
- Achieving or exceeding sales targets for our service revenue in the designated territory.
- Providing in-depth knowledge of Endress+Hauser services to address customer inquiries.
- Collaborating with technical teams to design and propose customised solutions.
- Identifying new opportunities within the customer base for service growth.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer challenges.
- Participating in regional events, workshops, and customer training sessions to promote capabilities.
- Monitoring and following up on service contracts, renewals, and ongoing customer support.
- Preparing and managing proposals, quotes, and negotiations.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and proactive issue resolution.
- Working with existing Area Sales Managers to develop opportunities in Service.
Qualifications & Profile for a Service Sales Consultant:
- Proven track record of consultative selling.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in services or solutions within industrial automation or process industries.
- Strong understanding of process automation and related service applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-focused solutions.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel regionally to meet with customers.
