Job summary

phs Group plc is seeking a Service Manager for the West Bromwich operation. You will support the Centre Manager, lead a large service driver team, and ensure delivery of vital waste disposal services to customers’ sites.

The role requires prior operations/transport management experience, a valid driving licence, and a strong focus on health and safety. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in operations/transport logistics.
• Transport management experience / CPC preferred but not essential.
• Energetic and inspirational manager capable of leading teams to meet customer expectations.
• Hold a valid, full driving licence for at least 12 months (max 6 points).
• Understand Health & Safety in the workplace, preferably IOSH trained.
• Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager in managing productivity levels to maintain high service standards.
• Resource planning and development of service team members.
• Ensure processes and procedures comply with legislation and phs Health & Safety policies.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are checked and maintained for safety.
