Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Service Operations Support based in Cambourne to manage day-to-day service operations administration, including customs documentation and queries, and to assist the field service team. The role involves both administrative duties and some physical inventory management to ensure smooth operations.

You will reconcile VAT records, liaise with brokers, standardise import entries, and coordinate calibrations and equipment logistics for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Handle reconciliation of C79 certificate and Postponed VAT statements with supporting documents (C88, commercial invoice)
• Coordinate with delivery companies and customs brokers to obtain missing docs and advise on amendments
• Ensure correct importer of record and import VAT charging for Carl Zeiss Ltd
• Correctly allocate import entries to Carl Zeiss Ltd or Carl Zeiss Limited
• Resolve day-to-day customs queries and route them appropriately
• Manage calibration for ZEISS and third parties, including quotes/POs and inbound/outbound processing
• Manage field service engineer PPE, consumables, tools, workwear, stickers and address management
• Process engineer returns by generating UPS labels and updating returns list
• Support Supply Chain and Logistics during peak periods
• Provide ad-hoc support and participate in new Field Service Engineer Induction processes
• Generate monthly stock reports for engineers
