Lifeways in Ripon, North Yorkshire is seeking a Service Manager to lead a Supported Living service for adults with complex needs. You will manage a team, ensure safe, compliant operations, and support positive outcomes in individuals’ lives.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification is required.
• Level 5 Health & Social Care is desirable or working towards it.
• Strong experience in operational and people management.

We're looking for Service Manager who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of people living with complex needs, while creating a positive, supportive, and high-performing culture for their team.

Based in North Yorkshire, you'll work closely with an experienced Area Manager and Regional Director to lead the delivery of outstanding care and support services for working-age adults with complex needs, including: Learning disabilities, Physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Behaviours that challenge.

In This Role, You Will

• Leading and developing a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Ensuring the service operates safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.
• Driving a positive team culture through coaching, training, and ongoing development.
• Working closely with senior leadership and external professionals to continuously improve service quality.
• You’ll lead with purpose, inspire your teams, and deliver the highest standards of care while shaping the future of services.

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care with Level 5 being desirable (or working towards it)
• Strong experience in operational and people management
• A valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally
• A genuine passion for quality care — and the ability to lead by example
