Leonard Cheshire in Wharfedale House is seeking a confident, compassionate Registered Manager to lead a team delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term role requiring registration, leadership, recruitment, and ensuring regulatory compliance, budgets, and collaboration with families and health professionals.
"It’s about leading by example – supporting my team so they can give the very best care every single day."
That’s how one of our Registered Managers describes their role. If you’re a confident, compassionate leader who’s ready to inspire others and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Our Wharfedale House service supports adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to live their lives their way. We’re a relaxed, supportive, people-focused service where every day is different – from helping someone achieve a new personal goal to celebrating milestones together.
This is a full-time role, typically working Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
33 days annual leave (25 days plus 8 bank holidays), increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 38 days.
Established over 75 years ago, we exist to support disabled people to live, learn, and work as independently as possible.
Leonard Cheshire welcomes applications from all sections of the community. We actively encourage applications from people with a disability, supporting where possible your requirements for reasonable adjustments.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk. A satisfactory disclosure check (PVG membership in Scotland) is required for this post. References will be obtained for all roles.
