Job summary

SIS is seeking a Service Manager for Clyde House in Stockport, a supported living service supporting adults with complex mental health needs. The role requires 37.5 hours per week with flexibility and on-call duties.

Clyde House is a Victorian building with shared facilities and 12 rooms, recently refurbished. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure high-quality person-centred care, and maintain regulatory compliance with CQC standards, while promoting a positive service culture in a rewarding

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or higher.
• Management qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in health and social care.
• Experience managing services supporting adults with complex needs or behaviours that may challenge.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care, mental health support, and recovery-focused practice.
• Knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the service, delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
• Coordinate referrals and assessments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Ensure the service meets regulatory requirements and CQC standards.
• Promote positive team culture and alignment with policies and values.

The successful candidate will have

Key Responsibilities

As Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the service, ensuring that individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support tailored to their needs and aspirations.

You will coordinate new referrals and assessments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals to ensure smooth transitions into the service and appropriate support planning.

You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, providing clear guidance, regular supervision, and ongoing professional development.

A key part of the role will be ensuring the service meets all relevant regulatory requirements, maintains compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and consistently delivers safe, effective, and high-quality care.

You will also promote a positive team culture, encourage best practice, and ensure the service operates in line with organisational values, policies and procedures.

About The Service

Clyde House is a supported living accommodation in Stockport which supports the recovery of clients with complex mental health needs. This beautiful, Victorian building comprises of 12 rooms with shared facilities over 3 floors. It currently benefits from an extensive refurb.
