Job summary

Venture People Limited in Eastbourne is seeking a proactive Service Manager to lead on-site delivery of specialist accommodation and community-based services for individuals with mental health needs and complex conditions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in service management or leadership within health, social care, or supported living settings, ideally working with mental health, neurodiversity, or complex needs.
  • Strong skills in team supervision, coaching, and performance management, with the ability to build a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic culture.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-focused approaches, safeguarding practices, and relevant health and social care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals, families, and professional partners.
  • Competence in planning, organizing, and prioritizing workloads, including managing budgets, resources, and service improvement projects.
  • Relevant professional qualification in health, social care, psychology, nursing, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in basic IT systems and record-keeping, with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.

Role Description

The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Eastbourne. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of specialist accommodation and community-based services, ensuring high-quality support for individuals with mental health needs, neurodiversity, and complex needs. Key tasks include overseeing service delivery, supervising and supporting team members, coordinating care pathways, and maintaining trauma-informed and recovery-focused practices. The Service Manager will monitor operational performance, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and quality standards. The role also involves working collaboratively with colleagues, external partners, and people using the service to continuously improve outcomes and the overall experience.

Qualifications
