Since our new Chief People Officer joined late last year, the HR team has been on an exciting journey. We have embarked on a rebuilding phase, starting with establishing the core foundations to design the pathway forward, enabling the business to achieve its community, people, and strategic outcomes. We have redesigned our work approach, adopting an agile methodology to set us up for success with many exciting projects underway. Human Resources is part of the Corporate Service Directorate, which is responsible for many key functions typical of such a directorate. What makes us unique is our CEO and Director of Corporate Services, who genuinely prioritize people—supporting the delivery of the City’s people experience strategy.
The Service Lead People Business Partnering is a critical role within the HR team. You will lead a team of eight—comprising People Business Partners and Support Officers—in delivering a broad range of people strategies and solutions. Your responsibilities include providing comprehensive HR services aligned with the City’s strategic goals, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, employee relations, and remuneration. You will report to the Chief People Officer and be a key member of the HR leadership team.
