Meraki Talent is working closely with a well-known educational body on the position of VAT Manager.
This position can be fully home-based depending on the location of the successful applicant, but as their main base is in Edinburgh, there would be an expectation for them to travel to the Edinburgh office once per month for team-building efforts.
The firm:
You will be joining a business consisting of + employees with a growing finance team of 30 professionals, including procurement, Finance Business Partners, and other financial operations staff such as Finance Analysts, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Payroll, Insurance, and Tax.
This is a fast-paced, evolving, and highly commercial business with a real entrepreneurial spirit led from the top. It is not your typical publicly funded body. The finance team services three different business lines: Teaching, Commercial, and Research, each behaving very differently from the others.
The role:
The VAT Manager will play an integral role within the business, partnering with stakeholders across several business lines including Financial Control, Head of Finance, Head of Business, Head of Research, and other members of the executive leadership team, including the principal, on projects, research, and compliance matters.
