Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care is seeking a Service Lead in Peterhead to guide our largest Housing Support service. You will lead a dedicated team, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality, person-centred support for people with learning disabilities.

The role reports to the Associate Director and offers permanent, full-time hours with potential to develop as a Registered Manager. You will join a proactive management team and shape service improvements within the branch.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Health & Social Care teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• SCQF Level 9 and PDA in Management preferred.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Service Lead to join us on a permanent, full-time basis (39 hours per week).

As Service Lead, you’ll play a key role in leading our largest Housing Support service in Peterhead.

Working as part of a supportive management team, you’ll provide strong leadership, coaching and direction to your team, ensuring the people we support receive consistently high-quality, person-centred support.

Reporting to our Associate Director, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead and develop a dedicated team of Lead Practitioners and Support Practitioners
• Drive continuous improvement across the service
• Promote a culture of high-quality, person-centred support
• Ensure the people we support are empowered to achieve their goals, develop their independence and live the life they choose
• Work collaboratively with other Service Leads and Lead Practitioners within the branch to share learning and best practice
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, families, professionals and the wider community
• Take on Registered Manager responsibilities, providing an opportunity to further develop your leadership experience

This is a role where your leadership will have a direct and meaningful impact.

Our purpose-built facility in Peterhead, supports 11 people with learning disabilities, each living in their own self-contained flat.

You’ll join an established, fully staffed team who share a passion for providing excellent support; helping the people we support get the most out of life.

You’ll have:

• A genuine passion for person-centred care and support
• Experience of leading, supporting or developing teams within Health & Social Care
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
• The confidence to make decisions and work independently
• The ability to motivate others and create a positive team culture
• Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills
• Confidence using IT and maintaining accurate records
• The flexibility to respond effectively to changing circumstances
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll already hold SCQF Level 9 and a PDA in Management, but we won’t let that stop us from hearing from the right person.

Working pattern

This is an off-rota leadership role, with working hours typically Monday to Friday.

As you’ll be leading a busy service, there may be occasions when you’ll need to work evenings or weekends in response to service needs. You’ll also participate in rotational on-call duties.
