Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer (Electrical / Rotating Equipment) based in the UK. You will service, repair and install generators, motors and transformers in a field-based role with a provided van, covering the UK with occasional overnight stays.

Comprehensive training will be given through the internal academy to develop to Lead Engineer level. This role offers a competitive salary, a profit-share bonus and a 5% pension, with clear scope for progression within a

• Field service engineer with UK travel and van provided.
• Willing to undergo in-house training on specific equipment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a range of electrical rotating equipment.
• Working on generators, alternators, motors and similar.
• Full inhouse training given on specific equipment.
• Covering the UK in a provided van, average of 2/3 nights away a week.
• Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, 40 hours a week.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, can be up to 10 hours per week.

Are you a Service Engineer with experience working on rotating equipment looking to work for a market-leading manufacturer, offering plenty of internal training on bespoke electrical systems and clear scope to progress to a Lead Engineer?

In this field-based role you will be covering the UK in a provided van working with another Engineer to service, repair and install generators, motors, transformers and related equipment. You will receive further training through the internal academy, then assisting in the local workshop when needed.

Founded 15 years ago, this company have grown exponentially over recent years and are now looking to add to their team to continue their expansion. They repair, service and maintain a range of rotating equipment across the UK and overseas within Rail, Healthcare, Schools, and Data Centres for example.

This role would suit a Service Engineer who has worked on motors, generators, alternators, or similar looking to join a market-leading company offering plenty of personal development.
