Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Field Service Engineer based within 40 minutes of Oakham with nationwide travel across hospitals, power stations, waste sites, water treatment works and data centres. You will fault-find, test, maintain and repair large industrial alternators and rotating electrical equipment, with 2-3 nights away per week and overtime paid at 1.5x.

Field Service Engineer

Competitive Salary | 1.5x Overtime - 10 hours per week | Company Van | Nationwide

Based within 40 minutes of Oakham. Nationwide travel.

Proper engineering. No two days quite the same.

You didn't become an engineer to stand beside the same machine every day.

This is a proper field service role, working on large industrial alternators and rotating electrical equipment across the UK.

Hospitals. Power stations. Waste sites. Water treatment works. Data centres.

You'll be fault-finding, testing, maintaining and repairing some seriously substantial equipment. Bearings, electrical testing, component replacement, major repairs and plenty of problem-solving.

You turn up, work out what's wrong and get it fixed.

We're looking for a field service engineer with a strong electrical/mechanical background. Experience with generators, alternators, motors, transformers or rotating equipment would be ideal.

You don't need to know everything about alternators already. If you're a good engineer with the right attitude, we'll teach you the specialist stuff.
