Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is supporting a market-leading company near Leicester to recruit a Field Service Engineer (Electrical). The role involves servicing and installing electrical rotating equipment across the UK with full training provided.

You will work in a field-based capacity, cover the UK in a provided van, with 2/3 nights away per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:30, overtime paid at 1.5x up to 10 hours.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in electrical engineering.
• Willing to travel UK with overnight stays.
• Full training provided on generators, alternators and motors.

Are you a Service Engineer from an electrical background, looking to join a market-leading company who will invest heavily into your career, through ongoing shadowing and training courses on specialist equipment such as generators and alternators?

In this field-based role you will be covering the UK in a provided van working with another Engineer to service, repair and install generators, motors, transformers and related equipment. You will receive further training through the internal academy, then assisting in the local workshop when needed.

Founded 15 years ago, this company have grown exponentially over recent years and are now looking to add to their team to continue their expansion. They repair, service and maintain a range of rotating equipment across the UK and overseas within Rail, Healthcare, Schools, and Data Centres for example.

This role would suit a Service Engineer with electrical experience, looking to continue their professional development within a varied role covering the UK.

The Role:

• Servicing and maintaining a range of electrical rotating equipment
• Working on generators, alternators, motors and similar with full training given
• Covering the UK in a provided van, average of 2/3 nights away a week
• Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, 40 hours a week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, can be up to 10 hours per week
