Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain generators across the Midlands. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure equipment operates reliably. The role includes overtime opportunities and on-site support from a well-established UK company.

The position offers autonomy, industry training, and the chance to enhance earnings through overtime while working with blue-chip clients in a growing company.

Qualifications

• NVQ in plant maintenance or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working on generators, plant hire, diesel engines or similar equipment.
• Full, clean UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on generators and related equipment.
• Fault finding on control panels and AC/DC electrical systems; genset synchronization.
• Travel across the Midlands patch with occasional depot visits as required.

This role would suit a Field Service Engineer who is looking to join a leading UK company where you will have the opportunity to increase earnings through overtime.

Role

• Planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of generators, fault finding i.e. control panel, AC/DC electrical systems, genset synchronization
• £17.25 p/h basic, 39hrs per week - 8:00am to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 15:30 finish Friday
• Overtime 1.5x - paid from 6:00am to 8:00am, then 16:30pm to 00:00pm/ 2.0x paid 00:00 to 6:00am
• Midlands patch (up to Liverpool, Sheffield, down to Oxford & Worcester) Occasional visits to depot in Birmingham required

Person

• NVQ in plant maintenance/equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working on generators, plant hire, diesel engines and/or similar equipment
• Full, Clean UK driving license
