Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer with a machine tool background to service CNC tools across the Northwest of England and Scotland. The role is based in Sheffield with training on bespoke machinery.

You will install, service, maintain and decommission machine tools for Blue Chip clients, with travel nationwide and a clear path to senior technical roles.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Engineer with machine tool background.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in the Northwest of England and Scotland.
• Willingness to undergo training on bespoke machinery.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, maintaining, and decommissioning machine tools.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, with ongoing training given.
• Travelling to customer sites across the North of England and Scotland.
• Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week, paid door to door.

Are you a Service Engineer from a machine tool background, looking to work with bespoke CNC tools, produced by the likes of Okuma and Makino, for an industry giant, offering national travel and progression opportunities to senior positions?

In this role you will be servicing cutting edge machine tools at Blue Chip client’s sites, covering a large area in the Northwest of England and Scotland, with fully funded travel and overnight stay. With formal courses and shadowing best-in-class Engineers, you will become a rounded electromechanical Engineer able to fix any type of machine.
