Job summary

Enlist Solution in Stamford seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service electro-mechanical systems at client sites. You will train operators, support applications, and contribute to automation projects.

You should have hands-on experience with installation, preventive maintenance, and a willingness to travel with overnight stays. PLC programming and familiarity with Modbus and Ethernet/IP are assets, along with strong communication skills and a proactive learning mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, maintenance and support of electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of units at clients' sites.
• Training of operators and supporting them with applications, setup and automation/computer control.
• On site preventative maintenance, calibration and service.
• Advising customers on technical issues and fault diagnosis. Including part numbers/pricing on the phone and via e-mail.
• Modification and upgrades of company equipment.
• Compiling method statements and risk assessments for the workshop and onsite visits.
• Ensuring demo units are in working order; assisting with loading and unloading.
• Following up leads from sales teams with regards to support service and repairs.
• Identifying potential leads at site and briefing the appropriate sales team member to follow up.

Profile

• Qualification and experience in maintenance, support and installation of sophisticated electro-mechanical systems.
• Background in temperature control, heat transfer and and refrigeration would be useful.
• Ability to learn.
• Great communication skills.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (e.g Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Office IT systems, including Word, email etc.
• Willingness to travel/overnight stays
