Job summary

Visum Recruitment Ltd invites applications for a motivated Service Engineer to join the UK Service Team. The role covers the west of London, requiring travel within 25-30 miles of the advert postcode and occasional overnight stays.

You will service, commission, maintain and fault-find on mechanical and electrical systems, support on-site customers, and manage stock in a company vehicle. A valid licence and independent work ethic are essential.

Our client is looking for a motivated and technically capable Service Engineer to join their UK Service Team. As a global leader & manufacturer in humidity controls, they provide extensive training and development to ensure their engineers become industry specialists. The area you will be covering is west of London as this is not a site/office based role. Within 25-30 miles of the postcode on this advert would be fine.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, commissioning, maintenance, repair and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical components.
• Support customers on site and maintain strong communication and teamwork
• Manage a fully equipped company vehicle, including stock and parts control
• Travel across your designated region with occasional support to other UK areas including overnight stays when required

Essential Criteria

• Experience in an industrial or commercial field.
• Experience in a similar mechanical/electrical field role
• Basic electrical knowledge (wiring, circuit fault-finding)
• Experience working in a mobile field service role
• A strong problem solver
• Eager to develop your technical skills.
• Values excellent customer service
• Able to work independently
• Confident, safe driver (a valid Driving Licence with a maximum of 3 points to demonstrate safe driving)
• Clear communication skills

Desirable Criteria

• Plumbing / water system knowledge
• Background in either HVAC, building services, refrigeration or water treatment industries

The salary is in the region of £38,000 to £45,000, depending on experience
