Job summary

FläktGroup UK invites applications for a Service Engineer to join our field-based regional team in Central London. You will deliver hands-on technical support, perform PPMs, refurbishments and commissioning on HVAC plant, and respond to emergency calls with a 4-hour SLA.

We value proactive, professional engineers with strong fault-finding, communication, and IT skills. You’ll support apprentices and ensure safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Issue requires City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and F-Gas qualification.

Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to provide expert technical assistance and engineering support.
• Carry out PPM, repairs, refurbishments, modifications, and commissioning of HVAC plant and equipment.
• Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a regional rota with 4-hour SLA response times.
• Prepare on-site risk assessments to support a safe working environment.
• Spot service enhancement opportunities and pass on sales leads.
• Support and guide apprentices and trainees in their development.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key player in our field-based team, you’ll:

• Attend client sites to provide expert technical assistance and engineering support.

• Contribute to the upkeep of F Gas compliance using our digital tracking system.

What You Bring

We're looking for a hands-on expert who's proactive, professional, and always focused on delivering top-quality service.

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079-11)
• Full UK driving licence
• Extensive A/C service experience, including VRV, VRF, chillers, splits & close control systems.
• Strong fault-finding ability and excellent communication skills.
• Confidence working independently with solid IT knowledge (Excel, Word, email, databases).
• The postholder will be required to complete security checks, obtain a clear enhanced DBS, and other clearances as necessary.
• PASMA / MEWP certification.
• Geographic familiarity with your region.
• Manual handling and Safe Pass training.
