Job summary

GBR Recruitment Limited are partnering with a leading specialist vehicle company to recruit a temporary Service Desk Coordinator for admin and coordination tasks in support of the service department and workshop.

The 6-month fixed term contract starts ASAP. Experience in specialist vehicles, plant machinery, agricultural tractors, or similar within a service department would be ideal. The role involves planning, dispatch, coordination of engineers and parts, and customer communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Service Desk team in planning, dispatch, and coordination of engineers and parts for customer requirements.
• Prepare and issue repair quotations and estimates, following up with customers to secure authorisation.
• Monitor maintenance contracts to ensure scheduled services are completed within timeframes.
• Track contracted service hours and ensure accurate recording and reporting.
• Monitor contract renewal dates and engage with customers regarding renewals.
• Support delivery of marketing initiatives, customer campaigns and promotions, including follow-up activities.
• Monitor engineer job progress and assist in coordinating next actions, including repeats, parts ordering and job closure.
• Assist in resolving customer queries and provide timely updates on service activity.
• Provide general administrative support to engineers, Service Controllers and the wider Service Department.
