Job summary

Veolia Group in Basingstoke is seeking a Transport Service Coordinator to oversee day-to-day service delivery, allocate work to routes, and keep customers informed with timely updates.

You will communicate with drivers and stakeholders, support frontline staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site, including WTD and O-License obligations, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport compliance and WTD required.
• Strong communication with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Able to organise a busy workload and operate at pace.
• Experience with ISO quality management systems is desirable.
• Experience in waste/transport/logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery and dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining driver contact.
• Completing debriefs with frontline staff and reporting necessary actions or updates.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers to address issues on route.
• Reporting safety concerns or container damage and stopping the job if unsafe.
• Ensuring Veolia on-site compliance (WTD, O-license and transport compliance).
