Job summary

Wharfedale Refrigeration in Leeds is seeking a friendly Service Controller to be the vital link between customers, engineers and the office team. You will handle service enquiries, schedule jobs, and ensure engineers have the right tools and information to keep our 24/7 operation running smoothly.

Join a close-knit, down-to-earth team and help us maintain excellent communication, review job reports before invoicing, and support a seamless handover from diagnosis to repair.

• Excellent customer service skills and professional yet personable communication.
• Confident using email and CRM systems with full training provided.
• Calm under pressure and able to handle a variety of tasks.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound enquiries via phone and email, converting leads into jobs through our CRM.
• Efficiently schedule reactive and routine work for engineers.
• Organise permits and RAMS for site access and ensure engineers have the right parts and information.
• Review job reports before invoicing and update customers.
• Liaise with the quoting team for smooth handover from diagnosis to repair.
• Participate in an out-of-hours telephone call rota.

Your Role:

As our new Service Controller , you'll be the go-to person for handling service enquiries, scheduling jobs, and ensuring our engineers are always where they need to be - with the right tools and information. You'll play a key role in managing workflows, maintaining exceptional customer communication, and keeping our operations seamless and efficient.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Handling inbound enquiries via phone and email, converting leads into jobs through our CRM
• Efficiently scheduling reactive and routine work for engineers
• Organising permits and documentation (RAMS) for site access
• Ensuring engineers are equipped with the right parts and job info
• Reviewing job reports before invoicing and updating customers
• Liaising with our quoting team for a smooth handover from diagnosis to repair
• Participating in an out-of-hours telephone call rota

What We're Looking For:

• Excellent customer service skills - professional but personable (yes, we like a good laugh!)
• Confident using email and CRM systems (full training provided)
• A team player who's calm under pressure and enjoys variety in their day
• Previous experience in the service industry preferred
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
