POSITION: Service Controller

LOCATION: Brighouse

SALARY: Competitive Salary + Excellent Company Benefits

HOURS: Monday – Friday

Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Service Controller to join our busy service and maintenance desk.

This role involves working closely with the service team and being the first point of contact for customer breakdown and maintenance queries. Responsibilities include controlling the workshop, mobile, and third-party engineers.

This role will keep you on your toes and has many elements. Here is a summary of day-to-day tasks:

• Providing high-quality customer service
• Ensuring hire fleet equipment is maintained according to manufacturer’s recommendations
• Drafting communications via postal mail and email, organising repairs and servicing of the fleet
• Obtaining updates, escalating issues, challenging costs, and potential delays
• Authorising and controlling expenditure
• Processing and approving invoices

To be successful in this role:

• Be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner
• Have strong administrative skills
• Be PC literate with the ability to adapt to various tasks
• Be empathetic and able to understand customer needs in challenging situations
• Work well under pressure
