Rentokil Specialist Hygiene

Service Controller

Birmingham

£23,992

Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

The main purpose of this role is to plan service work within your branch to meet targets and process relevant paperwork. The successful candidate will act as a contact point for service personnel and customers, liaising with the sales team to schedule jobs and discuss survey report information.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and sending weekly work programmes for service personnel
  • Liaising with customers to book services as required
  • Checking and inputting timesheet details into the branch system
  • Reviewing service personnel expense forms and overtime claims
  • Preparing weekly service forecasts with the Service and Branch Managers
  • Serving as the branch contact for service personnel
  • Handling customer service queries efficiently
  • Forwarding sales inquiries to the sales team
  • Compiling service reports for the National Accounts Department
  • Ensuring correct charging arrangements prior to month-end
  • Completing all required service monitoring
  • Providing hazard assessments and work details to service personnel before work begins
  • Arranging materials, preparations, and chemicals needed for services
Requirements

To be eligible, candidates should have:
  • A strong commitment to excellent customer service
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and workload management
  • Willingness to learn new computer systems
  • Effective communication skills with a confident telephone manner
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve issues
  • Route planning/optimization skills are desirable but not essential
