Job summary

Page Personnel is seeking an experienced Service Charge professional within social housing to lead, coach and develop the Service Charge team. You will oversee annual service charge estimates and year-end statements while supporting the certification and audit process.

Maintain strong financial controls, collaborate with Finance, Rents and operations, monitor budgets, and drive system and process improvements to ensure affordability and value for residents. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Experience within service charge finance, ideally gained in social housing
• Knowledge of service charge and rent legislation
• Understanding of the social housing regulatory framework
• Experience leading and developing a team as an experienced team leader or a capable manager
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Confidence working with large and complex datasets
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing the Service Charge team
• Overseeing annual service charge estimates and year-end statements
• Supporting the annual accountant certification and audit process
• Maintaining strong financial controls, reconciliations and service charge ledgers
• Monitoring performance against budgets
• Working closely with Finance, Rents and wider operational teams
• Driving improvements to systems, controls and processes
• Leading service charge projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring service charges support affordability and value for money for residents
