Job Summary:
• The Service Charge Advisor will provide essential support to the Service Charge Team by assisting in the preparation, calculation, and issuing of accurate service charge statements.
• The role involves delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service to residents and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with legal and financial standards.
• Working as part of a collaborative team, the advisor will contribute to the ongoing improvement of service charge delivery processes.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Assist in the preparation and issuing of both estimated and actual service charge statements.
• Support Service Charge Analysts in analysing expenditure and monitoring scheme-specific budgets.
• Respond professionally to customer queries, providing accurate documentation and timely updates.
• Help prepare invoices for audit review and certification.
• Maintain accurate system records and ensure data integrity across databases.
• Contribute to quality control and dispatching of service charge information.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure full recoverability of costs.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support service improvement initiatives.
Skills/Experience:
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good financial and numerical understanding; confident working with budgets and figures.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data with accuracy.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.
• Knowledge of service charge processes within housing or similar sectors is advantageous.
