Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire is seeking a Workshop Administrator to act as the vital link between customers and our workshop, coordinating bookings and updates to ensure a seamless service.

You will use strong customer service and planning skills to keep the workshop running smoothly, liaising with technicians, and ensuring proper approvals are in place for all work. A proactive, can-do attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and administration is essential.
• Ability to plan and coordinate schedules in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Book vehicles in for maintenance and repairs.
• Liaise with the workshop team to schedule work.
• Update customers on progress and status of their vehicles.
• Ensure the necessary approvals are in place for work carried out.

Our workshops are busy and fast-paced, as a Workshop Administrator, you are the oil that keeps the whole workshop running smoothly. For us customer care always comes first, so confidently delivering great service with a smile is second nature.

Where you can make a big difference is by making every second in the day count - from booking in vehicles for maintenance and repairs, liaising with your workshop team to schedule work, updating customers on progress, or ensuring the correct approvals are in place for the work carried out, you can be sure you will never be looking for something to do!

Your Technicians rely on you to plan their day and keep the workshop running efficiently, so an understanding of the motor trade or car dealerships would certainly help get you off to a flying start in your new role with us. Our proven induction training will help of course, however, you’ll need all of your customer service know-how, planning and administration skill, and most importantly your logical, ‘can-do’ attitude to deliver the experience our customers expect from us. .
