Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting a Service Advisor for our Manchester depot. The role focuses on delivering first-class customer service, handling service bookings, informing customers about recalls, and coordinating with the workshop to capture vehicle issues.

Working Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 DOE, you will communicate progress to customers by phone and in person, promote additional services, and ensure accurate account details are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Service Core Process as set by the Brand and Company.
• Carry out a robust job preparation process; capture all customer vehicle issues and information.
• Inform customer of outstanding recalls and arrange for work to be completed.
• Clarify the basis for the repair (Retail / Fleet / Warranty) to the customer and workshop.
• Check account details, obtain authorisation and issue order numbers to customers.
• Promote additional workshop services/repairs where applicable.
• Deal with customer needs over the phone and in person with a professional approach.
• Provide daily update calls to customers on vehicle progress.

Monday to Friday. - 08:00am to 17:30pm

Day Shift 42.5 Hours

My client one of the leading Commercial Main Dealers globally is looking to expand their service department and requires an experienced Commercial VehicleService Advisor / Service Advisor /for their Manchester Depot.

• Understand and adhere to Service Core Process as set by the Brand and Company
• To carry out a robust job preparation process; focussing on the detail to ensure all customer vehicle issues and information are captured and followed up
• Inform customer of outstanding recall campaigns and arrange for work to be completed
• Clarify for the customer and workshop the basis for the repair - Retail / Fleet / Warranty
• Check the account detail and level of credit left, obtain authorisation and obtain order numbers from customers.
• To promote additional workshop services/repairs where applicable
• Deal with customer needs over the phone and face-to-face with a professional and friendly approach.
• Carry out daily update calls to customers on vehicle progress in the workshop
• Follow up all 'No Show' bookings
