Job summary

Hendy Group is seeking a Service Advisor for its busy Service departments at Kia, Ford and Chery dealerships in Portsmouth. The role is full-time, 45 hours per week, based in Hampshire, with a market-leading base salary up to £32k plus bonus.

No automotive experience is required as training will be provided, with opportunities for development within a structured induction program. You will be the first point of contact for customers, booking diaries, updating databases, and explaining workshop

Qualifications

• Effective communication (verbal & written) to interact with customers professionally.
• Time management to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic.
• Good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
• Core computing skills including web systems, email and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting customers.
• Booking vehicles into the diary.
• Ensuring the customer database is updated and accurate.
• Support the profitability of the service department by using trained and professional sales techniques.
• Ensuring customers are familiar with the variety of workshop services.
• Accurately recording vehicle faults.
• Liaising with the service technicians to keep track of vehicles progress and ensure the vehicle is ready for customer collection on time.
• Obtaining authority and payments for repairs.

The Opportunity:

Hendy Induction -please be advised that anynew starters joining the business in their first week will be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.

About You:

• You will have effective communication skills (verbal and written)in order toprofessionally interact with customers (face to face and over the phone);
• Able to manage your time effectively to prioritise your workload and meet tightdeadlines;
• Self-motivated,energeticand enthusiastic.
• A good standard of verbal and numericalreasoning;
• Core skills in computing (essential), including web systems,emailand use of excel, with a keen eye fordetail;
• Previousexperience in a target driven role (desirable but not essential);
• Experience with CDK (desirable but not essential);
• A full UK driving licence.
