Job summary

Octane Recruitment is recruiting a Service Advisor for a busy Bournemouth dealership, in a fast-paced aftersales department, acting as the key contact between customers and the workshop.

The role offers a competitive package: £31,000 per annum base, with bonus opportunities and an OTE around £40,600. It includes 33 days of annual leave, pension, life assurance, EAP, and manufacturer-led training, plus clear progression opportunities, and Saturday rota mornings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within a main dealership is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and manage customer expectations professionally.
• Excellent administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail when managing bookings, workshop schedules and customer updates.
• Knowledge of Kerridge, RTC or eDynamix would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers during their service or repair visit.
• Manage service walk-in enquiries on behalf of the dealership and ensure customers receive clear, professional support.
• Liaise with workshop and other departments to provide accurate and competitive quotes for required work.
• Check vehicles in and hand them back to customers, ensuring all details are correctly recorded and explained.
• Identify and upsell additional work where appropriate, documenting all findings accurately.
• Carry out duties in line with brand service requirements and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
